Dr. Sarah Ripepi received her DVM in 1992 from the VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine and recently obtained her Masters of Public Health from the University of Florida. In addition to general surgery, Dr. Ripepi has a special interest in oral/dental surgery and offers dental care for feline and canine patients. Dr. Ripepi is a member of the International Veterinary Dental Institute and studies under Dr. Brett Beckman, distinguished Board-certified veterinary dental specialist.
Dr. Ripepi is a mother of four children, four cats, three dogs, and one horse. Her love of animals has taken her many different places in both her professional and personal life. Sarah demonstrated this passion from a young age, her formative years spent raising goats and orphaned raccoons in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Ripepi currently volunteers with Mission Rabies, traveling to places like Tanzania to vaccinate local cat and dog populations. Furthermore, she recently volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Costa Rica with her daughter/aspiring veterinarian Sophie Ripepi. From sloths to raccoons to chihuahuas, Dr. Sarah Ripepi feels great fulfillment in her chosen field of veterinary medicine.
