Catnip Acres began in 2007 as a cat rescue that conducted high-volume/low-cost cat spay and neuter clinics. We've since evolved into a high-quality community care veterinary clinic. Catnip Acres is proud to provide affordable veterinary care for both cats and dogs, while continuing to honor our original mission for the betterment of the feline population.
From our original mission statement: "Catnip Acres, INC. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose main mission is to ameliorate the suffering associated with cat overpopulation in Southwestern PA, specifically Greene County. Catnip Acres reaches an under-served subset of animals, providing high-volume/low-cost sterilization programs for cats. Through sterilization and vaccination, Catnip Acres increases animal quality of life and fights overpopulation, thereby decreasing animal abuse, neglect, disease, and shelter over-crowding."
*** THE CLINIC IS NOT A RESCUE. Please do not contact the clinic about taking cats to put up for adoption, we are not involved in that process. See the Adoption Applications section or visit the website catnipacresrescue.org for more information.

*Clients are not permitted to bring more than one dog in the building at a time.
*Dogs must be kept on a leash and close to the owner; owners are responsible for their dog's behavior.
Scheduled non-vaccine appointments take priority over walk-ins. Please plan accordingly in case of increased waiting times.
To schedule an appointment, or with any questions, please call our main clinic line (724) 627-0846. If we are unavailable, please leave ONE voicemail** with your name/phone number and a short message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can (normally within 2-3 business days).
**Occasionally, if someone calls in and we are on the line with another person, it will say that our voicemail box is full when it is not. To ensure you are able to leave a voicemail, please wait and call again at a different time (or call after hours). We are actively working with our phone provider to remedy this issue.
As our regular clients will tell you, the clinic is a pretty busy place! Like most businesses, we're short-staffed and trying our best to keep up with the overwhelming/unpredictable amount of people that walk through our doors every day. This often leads to longer waiting times for our clients. We greatly appreciate your patience.
If you think your pet may be having an emergency, do not contact Catnip Acres Clinic and instead contact an emergency veterinary hospital near you (see "Additional Resources" section for info). Catnip Acres Clinic is not equipped to handle emergency cases.
Send a picture of your pet in their costume to catnip.acres@hotmail.com with “Halloween Costume Contest Submission” in the Subject line to enter! Prizes will be given for pets with the “Scariest”, “Cutest”, and “Most Creative” costumes!
Our new Clinic location is right next to CVS in Waynesburg! We are very excited to be able to start over in a new building after the fire. We're always renovating to help us better care for your pets!
Free Fund donations help cover the cost of important veterinary services like spays/neuters for those who cannot otherwise afford them. Call in with a credit card or stop by in person to donate. Your generous donation allows us to do what we love, for those who need it most.
